Physician Agreements
Often physicians are focused on clinical matters and may not realize that the contract they are being asked to sign will have a real impact on the way they practice. Beyond the usual of how many days of work and time off, are details such as whether the physician must pay for copies, have the costs of corporate support charged back to them in management of their offices or whether they can leave the practice after a certain period of time. Apart from the physician’s practice there are always new and expanded regulations and laws; increases in professional liability premiums, electronic medical records issues, the administrative collection maze and establishing new credentials with hospital and payors.
